ABOUT US > WHO WE HELP > RESEARCHERS

The Centre is strongly committed to the view that research is essential to sound practice in education. The Centre therefore welcomes research proposals from bona fide researchers and graduate students.

Centre staff:
are available to help with advice and information during the development of proposals and may be able to suggest relevant topics for  research
can assist researchers to access gifted students and their families
will provide whatever practical support they reasonably can throughout the research project

All research projects must have the approval of the Ethics Committee of the proposer's university or academic institution, and conform to the Centre's own Ethical Guidelines.

The Centre has assisted or contributed to research projects investigating a wide range of topics, including:

identifying mathematically gifted students
gifted students views on leadership
behaviour change in gifted students enrolled in gifted programmes
gifted learners in low decile schools
the experiences of gifted early readers; etc.

Some post-graduate students have worked in the Centre's One Day School programme for a while as teacher-aides to gain practical experience to supplement their theoretical studies.  We are happy to discuss this possibility with interested students.

Please contact us if you would like our assistance.
