Centurions Q&A

What are Centurions?
Centurions are individuals, families, businesses, clubs or groups of people who kindly donate towards One Day School™ through the Gifted Education Centre.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the level you decide on. You can become a Centurion for a donation of $100, $250 or $2500 per annum.
What do I get for a $100 donation?
You get the personal satisfaction that you are assisting the Gifted Education Centre in your area, and your business or club gets to be associated with a forward looking, children's educational charity. We also send you a personalised poster to put on your business or club wall showing you are a Centurion. Additionally, we thank you by placing your logo and a link to your website on our Centurions website page, you get a mention on our Facebook page, and we put a link to your website on our Home page for one week.
What do I get for a $250 donation?
A $250 donation makes you a Gold Centurion. You receive the same thanks as above, except you receive a special Gold Centurion poster, your link on our website goes into the Gold section, and your link on our home page stays there for a month.
In addition, you get the right to mention us in your advertising or in your annual report, and we can provide a speaker at a function to give you thanks and explain where your donation will be used.
What do I get for a $2500 donation?
A $2500 donation makes you one of our very special Diamond Centurions. $2500 provides enough funding for a child to attend One Day School for a whole year, and will be used to provide a subsidy for a family that would not otherwise be able to afford their child to attend.
In addition to the thanks given to a Gold Centurion, you will receive reports and letters from the child/children you have directly assisted. Your link on our website will be in the Diamond section, and your logo will stay on our home page for three months.
Which option should I choose?
This is entirely up to you, but we would suggest the standard Centurion level for small businesses or families, Gold level for small to medium sized businesses or clubs, and Diamond level for large companies or organisations looking to do significant levels of fundraising.
Do I pay GST on the fee?
It is a donation, not a fee, so the amount is not subject to GST and is also tax deductible. You will be sent a receipt for taxation purposes.
Am I obliged to renew every year?
Obviously we'd like you to, as that will enable us to help more children. But of course if you do not wish to remain as a Centurion next year then that is up to you. We will still retain a link to your website on our 'past centurions' page.
Can I donate a different amount?
Yes, as long as it is over $100 (smaller donations are always welcome, but as a general donation rather than as part of the Centurion scheme).
Can I pay by electronic transfer or credit card?
Yes, contact us for details. Credit card transactions are subject to a 3% transaction fee and must be made at Head Office.
Can I supply goods or services to a One Day School instead of money?
Yes, assuming it is a product or service we actually use and which will save us the corresponding amount of money.
